About Me

I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) providing holistic mental healthcare services in Washington State. I hold a Master of Science in Nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor in Integrative Physiology. My work is informed by my deep and enduring curiosity in human consciousness and the interdependence of mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing. I am dedicated to subverting patterns of oppression and asymmetries of power in myself, in my work, and in the communities I live. I am in in my third year of training as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, an approach to healing the effects of trauma and chronic stress in the nervous system. Before entering into the field of mental health, I spent five years as a labor & delivery nurse, provided humanitarian services to refugees internationally, studied public health in disaster settings, and trained as an emergency medical technician and wilderness first responder. In my spare time I love to be in mountains, rivers and forests wherever I find them. My home is on Whidbey Island, where I live on a small farm with my wife and our floppy and exuberant pup, Theo.
